The Candle-Lighting Night Showing Gratitude in the Children Summer Retreat

Gratitude and repayment is a beauty from ancient times in the moral life, as well as in the educated spirit of Buddhism. The ceremony is intended to guide young people today to express their grateful mind toward the merit they have received.
At 19:00, the Venerable Sangha came to the lecture hall. After offering incense to the Buddha, the ceremony officially took place in a solemn and warm atmosphere.
Representatives of twenty children offered tea to the Venerables to show their filial piety - the master taught spiritual values. After that, the mass watched a short video entitled Ten Steps to talk about the love of a mother with her child in heart disease.
The successful person is thanks to the trade-off by wrinkles, calluses on the hands of their procreators. So, the representatives performed the ritual of offering milk to their parents and personally wiped their faces, hands, and feet ... These are simple actions to help the children better understand hardship that their father and mother had done and spent their whole life for children. In the meantime, little Quoc Anh expressed his heart by his repentance and thanked his mother. In the solemn atmosphere, all of them have performed the ritual of making prostrations. They bowed down with every respect - the gratitude will mark during all their lifetime.
Before the end of the ceremony, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Dong, deputy abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda, had a few words of dharma, advising the children. When returning home, the participants should be good, independent, mature and study well. Let live with love, care, and an open heart to share with parents; the parents should spend more time with their children than providing material, being an example with children and never comparing their children to any children, because each child has a unique ability. A happy family is always connecting, understanding and loving each other.
