The ceremony of refuge on the Three Jewels at Dong Cao Pagoda - Thanh Hoa

Having a human body is difficult, meeting a Buddha Dharma is even more difficult, having good conditions of studying with gentle monks and good friends are the most difficult. Taking refuge in the Three Jewels will help us not to be disoriented in a life of hardships. This is the first step for a practitioner to learn Buddha.

Dong Cao pagoda (Nga Yen commune, Nga Son district, Thanh Hoa province) solemnly held a ceremony to transmit Three Precepts and Five Precepts to the good men and believing women everywhere in the afternoon of August 19th, 2020 (July 1st, Year  of Mouse).

Starting the ceremony, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung, the abbot of Dong Cao Pagoda offered incense to the Buddha and accepted the request of Buddhists to transmit the dharma precepts. The monk instructed the Buddhist rituals, as well as the necessary Buddhist demeanor when visiting the temple. At the end of the refugee ceremony, monks sent gifts of dharma to the attendees.
