The ceremony of taking refuge at Tay Khanh Pagoda - Thai Binh

Although the North is in the cold winter, but with the heart of listening the teaching of Tathagata, the crowded good men and believing women returned to attend the ceremony.
At 14 h 00 p.m, the ritual board welcomed the honor venerables coming the lecture hall for transferring of the precepts. On this occasion, the Venerable had a few dharma words to new Buddhists on the way to study ethics.
Appearing for this life, we have a lot of luck, lucky to be as a human body, lucky to hear the Dharma, lucky to have enough conditions of taking refuge Three Jewels ... Especially, we can built true faith when we could return refuge on the Three Jewels.
Through the story of the rich man and four wives of him, the Venerable pointed out what is the most important matter for our life. As a child of Buddha, we must live a life how to benefit everyone and ourself getting of full joy not only in the present but also in the future.
Accompany with receiving of three refuge, the receiving of five precepts is also very important. As a result, we have personality of a true Buddhist. Five precepts - five basic moral principles will help us perfect our self, leading our life to a pure, noble value.
After the ceremony, Venerable Abbot and monks instructed the mass about basic rules of a Buddhist when visiting the temple.
The ceremony ended in the joy of everyone. Before returning home, Buddhists were given some of books, such as, “The story of Shakyamuni Buddha, “Three refuge and Five precepts”, “Introducing about Hoang Phap Pagoda”.
