The Ceremony praying for peace at Dong Cao Pagoda – Thanh Hoa.

Dong Cao Pagoda, (Nga Yen, Nga Son, Thanh Hoa) was solemnly celebrated the ceremony praying for peace in the morning of Feb. 02nd, 2020 (9th day of the Lunar New Year).

At 9:00 a.m., after series of echo bell and drum sound chanting, the Junior Ven. who came the lecture hall to witness the great ceremony praying for safety of the Rat Year. The witness of ceremony  was present Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung, Dong Cao Pagoda Abbot; Junior Ven. Thich Tam Nhat, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Dieu, the monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda - Ho Chi Minh City.

The head of the ceremony, MC Lien Giang respectfully invited Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung shared the meanings on the spring to Buddhists through the image of mouse was cited in the Buddhism scriptures. After that, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Nhat preached meaning "Praying for safety" according to the viewpoint of Buddha learners. Continuing the lecture instructed the way to obtain the peace for themselves at present and the future.

Continuing was the program to give the 4th scholarship "Joining to wings for dreams" to young people who achieved outstanding academic results in the first semester of the school year in 2019 -2020. On behalf of the young people receiving this scholarship, Trinh Mai Thi had a few words of gratitude to the monks, Buddhists and Donors, as well as promised hard to studying and striving body mind to please to parents, teachers and supporters. After that, Buddhist Pham Van Quy and Lien Thuy showed the musical performance of spring to the mass.

After that, the mass entered the reciting of sutra, releasing creatures  and had vegetarian food in mindfulness.

In the evening, the Junior Abbot has led the people offering the meal to lone souls at the ceremony.
