Going to the pagoda to worship Buddha is a culture beauty of Vietnamese. Buddhists everywhere have returned temple to visit sacred scene, prostrate the Buddha and wish Happy New Year to the Abbot Ven. On the first day of new year, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Nguyen, abbot of Giai Lam pagoda in Ha Tinh welcomed and donated lucky pockets to the visitors In the morning of Feb. 2nd, 2020 (09th, January, Year of Rat), Buddhists gathered at Giai Lam Pagoda to participate in praying for Peace Ceremony in the new year.

Praying for peace in the Buddhism is to repent sins, to reduce karma helping body and mind in peace. Buddhists go to the pagoda worship to the Buddha in purpose listening to Dharma, chanting sutra, and making offerings Three Jewels hoping to increase their blessings, and reduce their bad karma. This is also a chance for the participants having an opportunity to observe their errors of words, actions, thoughts, and then vow to give up which gain practice better for themselves and others.

Jumior Ven. Thich Tam Nguyen had shared some Buddha's teachings to attendees. After the speech, the Buddhists invited monks Venerable to offer incense to the Buddha and chant sutra Bhaisajyaguru (Buddha of Medicine ). All mass is sincerely recite doctrine.
