The Course “Seeds of Virtuous Family” Celebrates Vesak Ceremony

This morning May 14, 2017 (April 19, lunar calendar), Hoang Phap Pagoda holds the Buddha bathing rite and Vesak ceremony for the course “Seeds of Virtuous Family” led by monk Thich Tam Do .

The ceremony was witnessed by Venerable Thich Tam Dao, Deputy Abbot, Venerable Thich Tam Hue, Head of Charity Department and monks of Hoang Phap pagoda.

Before the main ritual, participants listen to the brief Dharma talk from Venerable Thich Tam Dao, in which he summarizes the meaning of Buddha bathing rite, reminding filial duty of children to grant/ parents. He advises the youth obeying teachers’ guideline, avoiding evils, carrying out good deeds, trying the best to study to become good citizens in future for the benefit of self, family and society.

After rituals such as offering incense to Triratna, chanting, … the children go to the stage to carry out Buddha bathing rite. They gently cleanse Buddha statue with pure water from ladles.

After the rite, the children release captured birds. They freely fly into the bright sky in the joys of all.

The program continued with Vesak festival including funny games and exciting music performance contributed by baby singers as Nguyet Thu, Tin Tin, and Ku Bo ...
