The first Buddha Dharma competition at Dong Cao Pagoda

Dong Cao Pagoda (Nga Yen, Nga Son, Thanh Hoa) held the first Buddhist Dharma Contest for more than 100 Buddhists at the monastery on the evening of July 31st, 2019 (lunar June 29th, the Year of the Pig).

After penitence time and reminding five precepts ended, the contest was begun. Before taking the test, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung, Abbot of Dong Cao Pagoda, Chief of the Organizers talked to the contestants who should obey mentioned regulations, seriously take the test, show the attendees self-ability and knowledge. The doctrinal exam consists of 41 questions, including 40 multiple choice questions and 1 essay. Time for question set is 30 minutes.

This chance, the monks will received the guided process results to Buddhists. This is the important work of Buddhism, which is the premise for the next preparation in guiding and improving the doctrinal knowledge for Buddhists.
