The fourth day of Temporary ordination retreat for Children in Summer
Update: 23/06/2022
On June 22nd, 2022 is the 4th day of the retreat; after using breakfast, Junior Thich Tam Trieu had a dharma talk to little learners with the theme named The Life of Shakyamuni Buddha
The appearance of the Buddha in life is a great cause and condition for all mankind. He Himself is a historical figure with outstanding intelligence, excellence, virtue and unlimited love for sentient beings. The monk recounted the Buddha's life in the form of a fairy tale for young listeners to easily acquire and enter into their mind in a gentle way.
From the Buddha's life, the monk preached the Buddha's compassion to arouse in little listeners a heart of love for all beings, not to feed themselves by killing and causing suffering to other sentient beings. Thanks to this, little ones will understand better about the person of the Buddha, about the path the Buddha walked and showed us. He has a shining personality for His disciples to follow.
In the afternoon, little learners sat quietly to express their feelings by writing about family, Seven-day retreat and the surrounding life.
After the evening of Ullambana chanting, the young learners listened to the Talk Show Connecting Hearts with Ms. Do Thi Nga (Chon Ngoc Phuong), Former Senior Math Student in France, Specialist of the Ministry of Education and Training, Head of Standing Committee of National Volunteer Network in the Central region – National Volunteer Center - Central Youth Union, National Volunteer Award 2019, Leader of the Northern Truc Lam Buddhist Youth Group. With her own story, she talked about events and adversities that will suddenly happen in life; that will help us become more mature if we know how to overcome, take responsibility for our life. She directed the listeners’ hearts to the hardships and sacrifices of their parents, from there, advising them on gratitude and filial piety to their parents.
A talk show took place between Ms. Do Thi Nga and little Hoang Kim Oanh, who won the Empower Leader Award of the program "Learning to be a Talent, Touching the Success" of Golden Apple Academy. Kim Oanh is known for the three words Talent, kindness and filial piety. She has participated in community loving activities, such as: Successfully auctioning a painting with an amount of 60 million VND to raise funds for poor students to overcome difficulties, participating in the program "Nuôi Em" with personal savings and sales, gift giving program for orphans, hair donation for patients in treatment cancer. She was honored with the top 10 young talents who inspire people to read books. In addition, she is also a filial daughter, always helping her parents with housework. She is an example for young people to learn, not only to develop comprehensively about themselves to be filial to their parents, but also to actively participate in loving activities for the community.
