"The Full Moon Giving Kids" at An Huong Pagoda, An Giang

In this program, there were attendances of Junior Ven. Thich Tam Khoi, Junior Thich Tam Canh, monks and Hoang Phap pagoda, and Nun Thich Nu Dieu Huong. The representative of the government was Mr. Pham Van My, Vice Chairman of Dinh Thanh Commune People's Committee.

Before entering the Mid-Autumn Festival, the kids participated in singing activities, dharma quizzes and statue painting.

At the program, Junior Thich Tam Hiep,  Abbot of An Huong Pagoda, An Giang spoke about the meaning of Festival in order to motivate and encourage in the  filial piety, study efforts, and become wise and good citizens who are useful to the family and society in the future.

After that, the leadership of the commune gave a few messages to the kids and sent their gratitude to the Organizers of An Huong Pagoda for holding a meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival.

At the last, the monks and government representatives gave 1,000 gift portions to the children. Each gift included a moon cake, lantern, confectionery, 1 (batch) of milk, 3 comic books named False belief, Crab Story, Nimba tree leaves and 3 colored plaster figurines. The total this time is 100,000,000 VND.
