The Great Ceremony of Buddha Birthday at Giai Lam Pagoda, Ha Tinh

On May 28th, 2023 (April 10th, LC), Giai Lam Pagoda in Ha Tinh (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda’s custom) managed by Junior Thich Tam Luc, solemnly held the Great ceremony of Buddha's Birthday, Buddhist calendar 2567

At 8:00 a.m., more than 1,000 men and women Buddhists returned to Giai Lam Pagoda, invited the Sangha to the lecture hall, and celebrated the Buddha's birthday.

After introducing the program and participants, the youth delegation of Giai Lam Pagoda respectfully offered fresh flowers to Three Jewels in ten directions.

The ceremony was attended and witnessed by Senior Thich Thien Nhon, standing member of Director Board (DB) of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Ha Tinh province, Head of Buddhist Culture Board of Ha Tinh province - Head of DB in Thach Ha district, proclaimed the Buddha's Birthday Message of Dharma Lord of VBS, Buddhist Calendar in 2567.

Next, the local government gave a congratulatory speech for this important event, as well as a flower basket to the temple.

Happily celebrating the great ceremony in the spirit of compassion, helping the life with practical actions, Giai Lam Pagoda has presented 10 gifts to poor studious students in the area. On behalf of the Organizers, expressing gratitude to venerables, guests, and Buddhists attending the ceremony, Junior Thich Tam Luc thanked the mass. The great ceremony ended after the Buddha's birth ritual and bathing the Buddha honor-statue in the joy of all participants.

Last, the "Buddha Birthday Celebration” special performance took place at 19:30 on the same day performed by volunteer singers, Hung Quan Dojo, Tan Lam Huong kindergarten and Buddhists of Gia Lam pagoda.
