The Great Ceremony of Buddha Birthday, Buddha Calendar 2569 - Solar Calendar 2025 at Giai Lam Pagoda, Ha Tinh

On May 10th, 2025 (April 13th, LC), Giai Lam Pagoda in Ha Tinh solemnly held the Great ceremony of Buddha's Birthday, Buddhist calendar 2569.

At 19 p.m, good men and believing women returned to Giai Lam Pagoda, invited the Sangha to the lecture hall, and celebrated the Buddha's birthday.

 

Next, the mass turned towards the Buddha, calmed their minds, and felt the bell sound and the verses from Junior Thich Tam Luu.

 

After introducing the program and participants, Senior Thich Tam Qua read the opening speech of the ceremony, then the youth delegation of Giai Lam Pagoda respectfully offered fresh flowers to Three Jewels in ten directions.

 

Representing lay Buddhists, Buddhist Tinh Minh expressed his gratitude for Buddha's birthday.

 

On behalf of the organizers, Junior Abbot Thich Tam Luc of Giai Lam Pagoda expressed his encouragement to guests, Buddhists as well as the gratitude to venerable monks who took the time to attend the ceremony. The Buddha's birthday season is an opportunity for Buddhist disciples to bathe the Buddha's statue, reflect on themselves to reveal their Buddha nature, and an infinite gratitude for the appearance of the Buddha in this world.

 

The great ceremony ended after the bathing of the Buddha honor-statue in the joy of all participants.
