The Great Ceremony of Peaceful Prayers for the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit at Lingyin Temple, Taiwan.

New Year's Prayer Ceremony – One Day Retreat - Medicine Buddha assembly Dharma of Lingyin Temple solemnly held in Taiwan.

The great ceremony was demonstrated by the presence of monks and nuns, who are studying in Taiwan, many Vietnamese Buddhists are living, working and studying in Taiwan such as Kaohsiung, Pingtung, Taichung, Hsinchu, Zhongli, Taoyuan and Taipei also attended the cultivation day.

The participants gathered together in the main hall to recite the Wonderful Dharma Lotus Flower Sutra, the Universal Gate chapter sincerely vowed Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara to pray for the victims of recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

After offering the meal in the afternoon, the mass returned to the dinning-room to prepare delicious vegetarian dishes with the flavor of Vietnamese New Year. In the early afternoon, Buddhists gathered in the main hall to listen to the monk share a few words on the beginning of spring, and recited Medicine Buddha Sutra, offering bright oil lamps to the Medicine Buddha.

Before the rite completion, Buddhists took pictures with monks-nuns, and received red pockets at the early spring. On behalf of the temple, we sincerely express our deeply gratitude to Monks and Nuns who have compassionately returned to Lingyin Temple to witness, and attend the great ceremony. Sincerely grateful to male and female Buddhists, who have made material contributions to Three Jewels, protecting Dharma Assembly, and supporting charity. Praying the Three Jewels to bless all of you, and family always in peace in the Buddha's blessing.

After the ritual ended, the mass brought offerings to the homeless at Taipei Railway Station (台北火車站) to share with difficult circumstances, sow good causes for life.

On Sunday, February 26th, 2023, Lingyin Temple - Taiwan will organize a visit and give gifts to orphans at the Quan Ai Chi Gia Center (關愛之家) in Wenshan area, Taipei (台北市). 文山). The participating Buddhists, please gather at Linh An Pagoda for lunch, and depart around 13:30 pm. (If you come to the temple for lunch on February 26, please send a message to register for the temple to prepare food). Or if you want to move by yourself, you can come and wait at the 關愛之家 Center (about 14:00).
