The Great Ullambana Ceremony 2022 at Dong Cao pagoda.

After the cultural performance about the gratitude to parents of the Buddhist Youth of Dong Cao Pagoda, at 9:00 am, in the solemn atmosphere, male and female Buddhists welcomed the Sangha entering the main hall to demonstrate and celebrate the great ceremony.
After declaring the reason, introduction of the participants, Buddhis youth respectfully offered a six-item offering to the Buddha in ten directions and the present Sangha.
Before pinning flowers, Buddhist Liên Tam read the meaning of setting rose flowers. In that sacred moment, the mass had a minute of silence to remember the great grace of the Buddhas, the teacher's education, and the birth and upbringing by parents. Besides, it is also a tribute to the gratitude of the country, sentient beings of all kinds, the heroic soldiers who have sacrificed themselves for the peace and happiness of ten thousand people.
With the deep sweet lyrics of the songs and the repentance offered to the parents, it helped the public look back on the merits of the people who gave birth to us to offer roses on our chests.
Thich Tam Hung, Abbot of Dong Cao Pagoda presented flowers and tea to his Mother during the Ullambana rite, making the audience full of emotions. Accordingly, Buddhists in turn also offered flowers and tea to their parents. This is the ceremony's beauty to remind and encourage Buddhists in the spirit of gratitude as well as progress on the path of service and practice of transforming the three karmas towards enlightenment and deliverance.
Next, it was the moment of offering robe, the young Buddhists represented the mass with a sincere heart to offer six items to the Venerables. On behalf of the Sangha to demonstrate, Junior Thich Tam Hung, Head of the Organizers praised the spirit of filial piety and repayment of all Buddhists and accepted offerings. The Venerable had a few words of encouragement to the participants. After that, the ashram entered the chanting, performed a prayer rite at Jizhong's altar and made offerings to the Sangha to sow blessings.
In the afternoon, the lay disciples living in the temple held a rite to celebrate the Abbot's Continuity Day (July 9th, LC). Attending the program were the presence of Junior Thich Tam Dieu, monks of Hoang Phap pagoda, HCMC.
First, MC. Lien Hien spoke about the meaning of the ceremony and Buddhists Lien Hong, Lien Thanh, Deputy Head of Yen Phap Club presented congratulatory gifts to Master. Thereby, the Venerable had a few words of gratitude to the parents, the Buddha, the Patriarchs, and all the causes and conditions in this life for helping him on the path of spreading the Dharma. Next, Junior Thich Tam Dieu confided about memories when the abbot had stayed still in the ancestral pagoda, as well as his relatives talking about Abbot childhood memories.
Before leaving, the monks gave gifts of Dharma to the Buddhists who attended.
