The Great Ullambana Ceremony 2023 at Quoc Thoi pagoda, Ben Tre

In the solemn atmosphere at 9:00 am, male and female Buddhists welcomed the Sangha entering the main hall to demonstrate the great ceremony.
The ceremony was witnessed by Most Thich Giac Huong, Abbot of Linh Son Pagoda, Demonstrator of Director Board of Cho Lach district's Buddhist Sangha; Senior Thich Lieu Thanh, Cho Lach District’s propagation Department, Abbot of Phuoc Long Co Tu Pagoda; Junior Thich Tam Hung - Abbot of Quoc Thoi Pagoda - Head of Organizers and Monks, Nuns from the local pagodas attended the ceremony; After declaring the reason, introduction of participants, young Buddhists respectfully offered fresh flowersS to the Buddhas in ten directions and the Sangha at present.
Next, the Buddhist read the meaning of pinning rose flowers. In that sacred moment, the mass had a minute of silence to remember the great grace of the Buddhas, the teacher's education, and the birth and upbringing by parents, the gratitude of the country, sentient beings,...
Next, it was the moment of offering robe, young Buddhists represented the mass with a sincere heart to offer six items to the Venerables. On behalf of the Sangha to witness, JMost Thich Giac Huong praised the spirit of filial piety and repayment of all Buddhists and accepted offerings. The Venerable had a few words of encouragement to the participants.
After that, the ashram entered to perform a rite chanting of Ullambana sutra.
The night before the ceremony, the Organizers successfully held the lighting of gratitude candles, and released lanterns to pray for a wealthy nation, safe people, and peace in the world. In the afternoon of the same day, the Organizers and Donors distributed 100 gifts to disadvantaged people on the occasion of Ullambana.
