On Aug. 06th, 2022 (July 09th, LC), at Bon (Tu Phap Co Tu) Pagoda in Nghe An Province solemnly celebrated the Great Ullambana Ceremony 2022, Buddhist Calendar 2566.
 

The Great Ullambana Ceremony at Bon Pagoda, Nghe An

 

Ullambana is one of the major Buddhist holidays to commemorate the deep grace of the parents.

The great ceremony was witnessed by Junior Thich Tam Thanh, Member of the Central Committee for Propaganda, Chief Secretary of Director Board, Head of the International Buddhist Committee of Nghe An Province, In charge of Buddhism in Dien Chau District, Abbot of Co Am Pagoda; Monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda, Dien Chau District authorities, and nearly 600 men and women Buddhists in the area attended.

After stabilizing the ashram and respectfully welcoming the venerables, it is the reading of Meaning of rose pinning. Next, Junior Thich Tam Thanh had a few words of Dharma to Buddhists about the example of filial piety and vow of Maudgalyayana Bodhisattva. Bon pagoda offered items of alms giving to the Sangha on the Pravaranà day

With respectful minds, good men and  women listened to the teachings of Junior Thich Tam Thanh and talked about the meaning of Ullambana.
