The Humanitarian Blood Donation Activity

In the morning of January 11th, 2015 ( lunar November 21st, Horse Year) the Hoang Phap pagoda together with the Red Cross in Tan Hiep, Hoc Mon district, Ho Chi Minh city held the Humanitarian Blood Donation day for the benefit of our community as well as the loving kindness of the Buddhists.

From the early morning, the monks and Buddhists had gathered\r\nand thoroughly prepared for this activity with the joyful atmosphere before the\r\nteam of doctors arrived.  All of the participants hoped that their\r\ndonations could help patients get over serious illness. Therefore, the bright\r\nsmile of volunteers grew all the time and the spirit of compassion, benevolence\r\nwas spreading out during the activities.

Blood donation is a lofty activity and noble gesture which\r\nis really helpful for injured people in accidents and serious patients to\r\novercome their critical situations .The blood donation is to practice the\r\nBuddha's teaching of almsgiving in order to bring lots of benefits to our\r\nsociety and to raise awareness of the mutual affection.

It is known that 210 units of blood were collected in this\r\nblood donation by which the patients’ lives throughout the country will be\r\nsaved and their health will get better.
