The Leaving-home commemoration of Bodhisattva Siddhartha at Dong Cao pagoda

In the evening of Feb. 27th, 2023 ( Feb . 8th, LC), devout Buddhists returned to Dong Cao Pagoda (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda’s Sect) to attend Bodhisattva Siddhartha's leaving-home commemoration.

First, Buddhist Lien Hong, Head of Yen Phap Ashram reviewed the ashram's rules of life and necessary issues with the present mass.

Next, Junior Thich Tam Hung, Head of the Organizers went to the lecture hall to offer incense to the Budha, guide the mass to chant mantras, recite Buddha's name, reflect on their mistakes, and review five precepts. Next, the participants watched the clip of the moment Prince Siddhartha left home to seek liberation. From here, the Abbot talked about the meaning of Prince's ordination day for lay Buddhists. What merit does a leaving-home person have? With easy-to-understand words and his own spiritual life, and the example of Venerable monks, he clearly explained Buddhist teachings, contributing to cultivating the Bodhi seeds in the present and in the future.
