The Ordination Ceremony on Sep. 06th, Year of the Snake

Accumulating enough good karma and passing all tests, two devout men joined the Sangha. Hoang Phap pagoda officially held the ordination ceremony for two good men on Oct. 26th, 2025 (Sep. 06th, Year of the Snake).

After the Sangha had entered the main hall, the ceremony was officially taken. One of these ones had a speech about the reason they became the monk. Junior Thich Tam Truong, Abbot of Hoang Phap pagoda gave them some advice before shaving hair.

 

Before starting on the ordination, all good men turned to the parents to show their deep gratitude for nourishing, and then kowtow to thank the great merit of their parents.

 

The ritual of ordination was performed in a solemn atmosphere. Next, Junior Thich Tam Truong preached about the monk’s virtue to these new cultivators, such as preserving the demeanor of dignity, cultivating the mind, respecting the elders, always thinking our mistakes without saying faults others, diligently practicing in order to repay to Four Grace, and then become as messengers of the Tathagata.

 

The representative of these good men expressed his thanks to the Sangha. Then, the Junior Abbot presented gifts to these ones for congratulating them to officially become a monk.
