The Peaceful Praying Ceremony on the Song Da Hydroelectric Lake of Hoa Phuc Pagoda - Hanoi

Monks and Buddhists of Hoa Phuc Pagoda and Quynh Nhai Cam Lo temple along with people of Quynh Nhai District, Son La held a Peace Praying Ceremony and released creatures on the Song Da Hydroelectric Lake on February 18th, 2025.

By the witness and guidance of the temple monks, Buddhists and ethnic residents respectfully chanted Ratana Sutta, Mangala Sutta and released creatures to create merit, praying for a peaceful new year for the country and people being prosperous.

 

This meaningful activity is first of a practical way for the local people to connect to the Three Jewels and Buddhism, then a gratitude from the ethnic people to the female General Han (Lady Then), a famous heroine in history, who had great contributions to the ethnic minorities of six Northwestern provinces.

 

Sitting together in the evening, the mass talk about the unique features of two regions, strengthened the belief ties and planned to prepare for the Peaceful Praying Ceremony to people and nation in the lunar year of Snake (taking place at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 3rd in the four-day retreat from the 1st to the 4th).
