The Preparation Welcoming the Lunar New Year (Goat Year)

The end month of the year - the lunar Dec – the cool air covers the sky and beings but this time is the most beautiful to be best waited by human. Because on last days of the month, space is transferring to a new color, and people also dress their new clothes, a spring clothes with sweet - smelling gaudy color – the spring – the Lunar New Year is nearly coming with us.

In mind of releasing sadness and worry aiming at a New Year\r\nof peacefulness, happiness, wishes, etc, on comparison with the waning leaves’s\r\nleaving their branch to sprout bright apricot blossom. In addition, with\r\nthoughts of creating the symbols about the Vietnamese s ‘traditional Tet\r\nholidays as well as a new living air, a space full of Spring festival\r\natmosphere at the pagoda, on past days, the monks and Buddhists designed models\r\nwhich engrave religious meaning and substance to welcome the Spring of Goat\r\nYear. Wishing that these small things will decorate more the Tet s‘fresh\r\ncolors, so that everybody will feel a happy, peaceful spring.

Joining in the air to welcome the Lunar New Year (Goat Year)\r\nin the country, Hoang Phap pagoda would like to notice the program welcoming\r\nthe Horse Year at the pagoda as followed:

* Prajna Drum sounding to welcome the new year and solemnly\r\nreceiving Zen Masters processing to go to the Buddha Hall.

* Welcome the New Year’s Eve ceremony.

* Wishing longevity to the Senior Venerable Abbot.

* Blessing the new year’s wish from the Senior Venerable.

* Give lucky buds

2. Receiving lucky New Year’s buds

On 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, Lunar Year, the Senior Venerable\r\nabbot blesses lucky buds and dharma gifts in Patriarch’s Hall.

Hoang Phap pagoda would like to invite Buddhists coming for\r\nthe New Year’s Eve ceremony in the pagoda, praying the Buddha.

In the New Year- Spring Horse Year, wishing visitors and\r\nBuddhists infinite joyful happiness, endless fortune, accomplishing the desire.
