The Relief of fire victims at Russey Keo – Cambodia

On the morning of July 19, 2008, Hoang Phap Temple Cambodia paid a support visit and gifts portions to victims of the fire in Russey Keo District, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
At the ceremony, Venerable Thich Tam Truc, the abbot of the pagoda Hoang Phap Cambodia said: "As soon as the news due to short - circuit at 3:15 a.m on July 10, 2018 in Russey Keo District, Phnom Penh, the people at here were suffered great damage, I and Buddhists came to support Vietnamese and Cambodian. Each family was given an envelope 30 $, a carton of noodles, 5kg of rice".The gift is small, but the presence, sharing of the group helped residents here a feeling warm in the past few days they were suffered the homelessness.
The fire completely destroyed 67 apartments, including 57 Cambodian Vietnamese and 10 Cambodian households. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any damage to people.
At present, the lives of households damaged by the fire are very difficult; they had to buy tents to cover the rain temporarily.
However, as Cambodia is in the rainy season, the water level in the Mekong River will rise in the future; the living of the people here will be seriously threatened.
Households are in need of interest; better help from functional units, donors both inside and outside the country to help residents overcome the difficulties ahead, quickly have temporary houses to settle their life.
