The retreat of children “Em ve ben Phat”

Ngày 11/03/2018 (nhằm 24/01 Mậu Tuất) chùa Hoằng Pháp tổ chức chương trình tu học “Em về bên Phật” lần thứ 3 dành cho các em thiếu nhi. Trong khóa tu này, được sự quan tâm của các bậc phụ huynh, số lượng các em về tham dự tăng đột biến với hơn 1200 em, khiến cho ban tổ chức hơi bị lúng túng trong việc sắp xếp chỗ tu học, ăn uống, ngủ nghỉ. Tuy nhiên đây là điều đáng mừng vì các bậc phụ huynh đã thấy được lợi ích của khóa tu nên đã đưa các em về chùa tham dự.
After register in the morning, the monks instructed all of them to the main lecture room for their activity and then they listened to a dharma talk by Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh, the Chief of organizers at the retreat. His speech was short of three paragraphs on the understandable and simple words in spite it transfers more deep meanings. Combining between learning ethics, playing activities and receiving gifts, etc, the children have had the impressive and lively lessons about moral, culture, and behavior which helps inscribe on their spirit.
Welcoming to holidays in New Year
Having no requiring gifts from your parents
As well as your uncle and aunt’s relatives
Giving their money to you.
On the traditional Tet"s holidays
As receiving the given money
You should be delicate
Without opening it immediately.
When your mother goes playing far
You require cakes and presents,
Then be angry and cry loudly
You are not a good child.
In his preaching, the Senior Ven. clearlyexplained about the meaning of traditional Tet"s holidays (lunar New Year) and Solar New Year.
After the speech, the children had playing activities of team games, skills and luncheon.
The afternoon of same day, the monks instructed them chanting the poem "Gratitude" and quietly sat meditation on some minutes. Teacher Nguyen Thanh Nhan (the Young Talent Training Center of Asian Pacific) had a speech about the compassion stories, the sacrifice of a mother in their movingand concentrating listening. Before returning home, each of them have received a gift from by organizers.
