The retreat "Sowing seeds lotus" at Dong Cao Pagoda

In order to help for the children have a useful playground in the summer, Dong Cao Pagoda (Nga Yen commune, Nga Son district, Thanh Hoa province) organized a retreat "Sowing seeds lotus" for participants who have their age from 6 to 13 year old on June 17th to 23rd, 2019.

Accordingly, on the morning of June 17th, 2019 (lunar May 15th, the year of the Pig), parents took their children to the pagoda to complete enrolling the course. In the afternoon, the monks of the Organization Board instructed some necessary rules for all young attendees, such as how to greet, prostrate Buddha, stow blanket and pillow after getting up, etc.

On occasion of this full moon, the monk took the children to the district market to buy creatures and free them at Hung Long river, helping the attendees to have love mind to all beings. At the same time, the monks gave over 400 portions of vegetarian meals to the district hospital.
