The retreat "Sowing seeds lotus" at Dong Cao Pagoda

Children are the future of the country, the future of Buddhism. They not only are cared for health but also nurtured in the spirit to help them have a right awareness, sow the seeds of Bodhi, believe in the Three Jewels, receive the core values and live according to the Buddha's teachings. Hoping the children to have a healthy playground, cultivating morality, especially being close to good things, the Buddha's teachings which are expectations of parents to their children in the Vietnamese tradition of gratitude.
After the register procedure in the morning, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung guided young learners of meditation walking and read the poem “Gratitude”. Next, Ms. Lien Giang and the members in the Youth Club showed them fun games and singing in the lecture hall. At 8:30, Ms Pham Thi Huyen guided some necessary rules when going to the pagoda and introducing the pagoda. Next, young learners read the book according to the guidance of the volunteers so that the children choose according to their desires. After the moments of finding friends and socializing, the children had mindfulness lunch time. In particular, they take their own food, and after they are finished, they wash their own dishes.
In the afternoon, the learners sat calmly and read the poem of “Thanks” directed by volunteer members and listened to teachings from the monks before entering the special program of practice. Under the guilding of Buddhist Pham Thi Huyen, members in the club and Buddhists, the children had extra-curricular fun outdoors to exercise. The end of the practice day was a moment of receiving gifts for the learners. During this retreat, the organizers gave each of the children a dharma gift.
