The Ullambana Ceremony 2024 at Dong Cao pagoda, Thanh Hoa

On August 17th, 2024, at Dong Cao pagoda (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda sect) in Thanh Hoa province held The Ullambana Ceremony.
In the solemn atmosphere, male and female Buddhists welcomed the Sangha entering the main hall to witness, and celebrate the great ceremony at 9:00 am.
The program has the presence of Junior Thich Tam Thu - Abbot of Tan Phap Pagoda, Tay Ninh; Junior Thich Dao Tin - monks of Hoang Phap pagoda, HCMC; Junior Thich Trung Bang – monks of Thien Vuong pagoda, Thanh Hoa; Junior Thich Minh Tong - monks of Dong Dac pagoda, Ninh Binh; Junior Thich Tam Du - Abbot of Truong An Pagoda, Nghe An; Junior Thich Tam Hung - Abbot of Dong Cao pagoda - Head of the Organizers.
After declaring the reason, introduction of the participants, young Buddhists respectfully offered a six-item offering to the Buddha in ten directions and the Sangha at present.

All attendees received roses pinned to their chests in sacred happiness after a moment of repentance to their parents led by Junior Thich Tam Thu. Next, Junior Thich Tam Hung presented flowers and tea to his Father-Mother in the Ullambana ceremony.
Next, it was the moment of offering robe, the young Buddhists represented the mass with a sincere heart to offer six items to the Venerables at present. On behalf of the Sangha to witness, Junior Thich Tam Hung, Head of the Organizers praised the spirit of filial piety and repayment of all Buddhists and accepted offerings. The Venerable had a few words of encouragement to the participants.
After that, the ashram entered to perform a rite chanting of Ullambana sutra.
