The Ullambana Great Ceremony 2023 at Dang Phap pagoda, Binh Phuoc

The ceremony was witnessed by Junior Thich Quang Tri, Standing Member of Director Board (DB) of Binh Phuoc province - Deputy DB of Buddhism in Bu Dang district; Junior Thich Duc Tri, DB’s Member - Chief Secretary of Monks-Nuns Education Board of Binh Phuoc province, Chief Secretary of Bu Dang district Buddhism; Junior Thich Duc Nhan - Chief Secretary - Deputy Buddhist Office of Bu Dang district; Hoang Phap pagoda’s monks along with monks and nuns who are permanent residents in the district, and Abbots of monasteries and Buddha reciting Halls in Bu Dang district.
On side Government leaders returned to witness, attended by Mr. Le Thanh Hai - Head of the Public relations – Chairman (VFFC) of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bu Dang district; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoi - Deputy Director of Bu Dang District Medical Center; Ms. Nguyen Thi Le - Officer of VFFC of Bu Dang district; Mr. Le Duc Tu - Secretary of Party Committees (S of PC) of Doan Ket Commune; Mr. Dinh Van Thanh - Deputy S of PC - Chairman of Doan Ket Commune People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Ky - Vice Chairman of Veterans Affairs of Duc Phong town; Ms. Huynh Thi Phuong, Vice President of Red Cross Association of Bu Dang district; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Chairman of VFFC of Doan Ket commune; Ms. Ha Bich Thuy, Women's Union's Doan Ket commune; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham, Head of Village 2, accompany Departments of Unions at all levels.
Representatives of Dang Phap pagoda respectfully offered fresh flowers to the Buddha's ten directions after declaring the reason, introduction of participants. Buddhist Hue Thao read the meaning of pinning rose flowers. Next, the young in the flower pinning team dignifiedly put a yellow rose on the monk’s robe. After that, Buddhists received roses and put them on their chests with sacred happiness.
Representing the authorities in the ceremony, Mr. Le Duc Tu gave a short speech, sent some good wishes for health and success to the monks-nuns and Buddhists during the Ullambana season.
Abbot of Dang Phap Pagoda, Junior Thich Tam Quang happily received the fresh flower baskets given by the monks and leaders.
Next, it was the sacred moment of offering robes to the Venerables.
On behalf of the monks, Junior Thich Quang Tri spoke dharma words during the ceremony. He appreciated attendee parents’ merits and accepted the offerings, vowing to dedicate all blessings to Buddhists, families as well as deceased parents and grandparents to be reborn in a peaceful realm.
On behalf of the Organizers, Junior Thich Tam Quang wished longevity and good health to the monks, government leaders, guests and Buddhists who participated, expressed gratitude and awarded Certificates of merit and gifts to the monks, Groups and individuals supporting the great ceremony.
