The Ullambana Great Ceremony at Tam Phap pagoda in Dong Nai

In the gratitude spirit of filial piety, Tam Phap pagoda in Dong Nai province (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda Sect) solemnly held the Ullambana great ceremony for all Buddhists everywhere on Sep. 21st, 2025.

Taking place in a solemn atmosphere of filial piety, the ceremony included traditional rituals, such as offering flowers, pinning roses in memory of parents and chanting Ullambana sutra.

 

On behalf of the current monks, the Abbot of Tam Phap Pagoda, Junior Thich Tam Duyet gave words of encouragement to the mass about the filial piety of Araha Maudgalyayana, hoping the listeners would together hard practice, live a good life and religion, diligently do good deeds to repay the deep gratitude of living parents, pray for deceased parents, and show gratitude to the Patriarchs who have contributed and sacrificed for us to have the life we have today.
