Three-Jewel Refuge Ceremony at Bao Quang pagoda in Dong Nai

In the morning of April 11th, 2021, Senior Thich Chan Tinh and monks from Hoang Phap pagoda went to Bao Quang pagoda to witness and transmit precepts for approximately 100 male and female believers in response to the invitation by Junior Thich Tam Luan.

Before starting the ceremony, Junior Thich Chuc Hieu gave a lecture on Three Precepts and Five Precepts and the essential issues for Buddhists.

The official ceremony was held at 9:00 a.m., Senior Thich Chan Tinh and monks went to the lecture hall, offered incense to the Buddha and began to transmit the precepts.

The representative of Buddhists offered to the Monks the words of hope to receive the precepts. The Senior gave some explanations on taking refuge as well as keeping five precepts of Buddhists. At the same time, there are a few words of encouragement to the Buddhists to try to practice towards a noble virtue and goodness.

The ceremony of transmitting Three Refuges and  Five Precepts took place in a solemn and pure atmosphere.

At the end of the ceremony, the Ven. gave the mass gifts of dharma, including the book such as Handbook to Cultivate, Buddha Dharma Saving My Destiny, Three Refuge and Five Precepts, Senior Thich Chan Tinh’s advice.
