Three-Jewel Refuge Ceremony for good man Kyle Thomas Gustafson’s family

Most Master Thich Chan Tinh of Hoang Phap Pagoda, and Monks came to the main hall to hold a Three-Refuge Ceremony at the request of the Buddhist family on January 21st, 2025.

On behalf of the monks, Most Thich Chan Tinh transmitted Three Refuges-Five Precepts to good man Kyle Thomas Gustafson with the dharma name Thien Tam in a solemn and respectful atmosphere after the incense lighting to the Buddha. The Most explained clearly its purpose, meaning, benefits of taking refuge and keeping the precepts so that the receiver can understand and follow. Becoming a Buddhist, a practitioner needs to follow the Buddha virtues in studying and practicing, deeply believe in cause and effect, and increase good mind. Thus, each person should arrange time to go to the temple for Buddhist Ceremonies, practice days to repent, listen to the Dharma, practice vegetarianism, comply with precepts, and rely on teachings to have peace and happiness. The monks gave Dharma gifts to everyone and took souvenir photos at the end of the ceremony.
