Tieu Dao Pagoda Joyfully Offering Donations to Summer Retreat Courses in Quang Ninh Province

There is a regulation in Buddhism precept that the clergy in a sangha resides and gathers together in one place during 3 summer months to practice and enhance Samadhi - morality, concentration and wisdom - to be capable of turning the dhamma wheel for sentient beings.
During that time, lay Buddhists will support, offer donations, take care of all the facilities for the retreat running smoothly, to sow the good merits with the wish: Triratna will permanently stay in this world for beings’ benefitâ€.

With such will, on May 18th, Monkey year (lunar calendar), Venerable: Thich Tam Tinh - Committee members of the Buddhist Association of Vietnam, Quang Ninh Province – Abbot of Tieu Dao Pagoda together with Buddhists joyfully offered donations to Summer Retreat Courses in Quang Ninh province.
Their first stop was Quynh Lam pagoda - Dong Trieu town. Tieu Dao donation group humbly asked for the permission for their offerings to the summer retreat course there, with the witness and approval of Venerable Thich Dao Quang, Member of Central Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Church, Deputy Head of Standing Committee of the Buddhist Association of Vietnam, Quang Ninh Province, Head of Quynh Lam Summer Retreat Course.
At Summer Retreat Course of Yen Tu Monastry, Uong Bi City, Tieu Dao donation group humbly asked for the permission for their offerings to the summer retreat course with the witness and approval of representatives of Yen Tu’s sangha.
Their last destination was Summer Retreat Course of Trinh Pagoda, Uong Bi City – Headquarters of the Buddhist Association Vietnam, Quang Ninh Province.
Tieu Dao donation group humbly asked for permission for their donations to the summer retreat course, with the witness and approval of two Venerables: Ven.Thich Dao Hien, Deputy chief cum Secretary General of the Buddhist Association of Vietnam, Quang Ninh Province, Chief Executive of the Summer Retreat, and Ven. Thich Hien Thien, Deputy chief of the Buddhist Church of Vietnam, Quang Ninh Province.
Besides the donations of money and items, Tieu Dao donation group also offered vegan lunch to the monks present at the headquarters of the Buddhist Church of Vietnam, Quang Ninh Province (Trinh Pagoda).
Total value of Tieu Dao donations to Summer Retreat Courses in Quang Ninh province worth 70 million VND.
