Tieu Dao Pagoda Joyfully Offering Donations to Three Rain Retreat Schools in Quang Ninh Province

There is a regulation in Buddhism precept that the monk in a sangha resides and gathers together in one place during 3 summer months to practice and enhance samadhi - morality, concentration and wisdom - to be capable of turning the dhamma wheel for sentient beings.
During that time, lay Buddhists will support, offer donations, take care of all the facilities for the retreat running smoothly, to sow the good merit with the wish: "Triratna will permanently stay in this world for beings’ benefit”.

With such will, on July 30th, 2020, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Tinh - Committee members of the Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam, Quang Ninh Province – Abbot of Tieu Dao Pagoda together with Buddhists joyfully offered donations to Rain Retreat Schools in Quang Ninh province.
Their first destination was Rain Retreat School of Trinh Pagoda, Uong Bi City – Headquarters of the Buddhist Sangha Vietnam, Quang Ninh Province. – This year, there are over 200 Monks and Nun as practitioners at Trinh Pagoda. Tieu Dao donation group humbly asked for permission for their donations to the rain retreat school, with the witness and approval of Junior Ven. Ven. Thich Khai Tu, the permanent member -Deputy chief of the Director Board of Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam, Quang Ninh Province.
Next, Rain Retreat School of Yen Tu Monastery, Uong Bi City, there are over 70 Monks and Nuns, novices as practitioners here. The Tieu Dao donation group humbly asked for permission for their offerings to the summer retreat course with the witness and approval of representatives of Yen Tu’s Sangha.
Their last stop was Quynh Lam pagoda - Dong Trieu town, there are over 40 Monks and Nuns, as practitioners here. The Tieu Dao donation group humbly asked for permission for their offerings to the summer retreat course there, with the witness and approval of Most Ven. Thich Dao Quang, Member of Central Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Deputy Head of Standing Committee of the Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam, Quang Ninh Province, and Head of Quynh Lam Rain Retreat School.
Total value of Tieu Dao Pagoda donationed to Rain Retreat Schools in Quang Ninh province is worth 60 million VND.
