Tieu Dao pagoda: Junior Thich Tam Tinh receiving a Campaign Medal from Vietnam Red Cross

With the contributions of Tieu Dao Pagoda on charity activities over the years, on the morning of July 25, 2021 (June 16, LC) Junior Thich Tam Tinh, Abbot of Tieu Dao Pagoda in Quang Ninh received the Campaign Medal for the Humanitarian Cause of the Vietnam Red Cross at the 15th Delegate s’ Congress of Ha Long City ’s Red Cross in term 2021 - 2026.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Vu Hong Hai, member of the Vietnam Red Cross (R.C), Chairman of the R.C of Quang Ninh province; Mr. Pham Le Hung, Deputy Secretary of Ha Long City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, Vice Chairman of the Ha Long City People's Committee; Mr. Bui Duc Doan, Head of Public Relation Committee, Chairman of the Ha Long City Fatherland Front Committee; Ha Long City's socio-political organizations and 166 delegates representing over 123,000 members of the City's R.C.
In the last term, the R.C has cooperated with organizations including Tieu Dao Pagoda to carry out social works such as: donating 150 bicycles to poor students who overcome difficulties, doctors' Clubs, voluntary Blood donation Clubs, donating to Humanitarian Funds and plastic Pigs, support people in the Central region suffering from droughts, storms, floods...
In 2020, the Covid-19 epidemic has affected not only our country but also the whole world. The temple has coordinated with the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee to give gifts in the Covid-19 epidemic at the People's Committee of Ba Che district and Quang Yen town's high school, accompanied with the Women's Union of Quang Ninh province to give gifts to hospitals in where are treating Covid diseases, giving gifts to the Schools are located in Ha Long city, etc. The pagoda also participates in supporting the flood-affected Central people, contributes to the fund to buy Covid Vaccine, and cooperates with the Red Cross of Ha Long City and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Ba Che district to start construction of 2 houses of charity. Annually, pagoda coordinates with the government to visit and give Tet gifts to difficult families, etc....
