Tieu Linh Dang Club from Binh Duong Visits the Abbot at New Year

Sáng ngày 04/03/2018 (nhằm 17/01 Mậu Tuất), CLB Tiểu Linh Đăng – Bình Dương đã về chùa Hoằng Pháp tham quan lễ Phật và chúc tết Thượng tọa trụ trì.

After regards and greetings, members of the club receive encouragement and Dhamma talk from Abbot Thich Chan Tinh. He tells the story of a dog running away with a big meat in mouth.Across the bridge, it looked down the river and saw a dog with bigger bite. Immediately, it ​​dropped the meat in mouth and jumped down the water to grab the bigger meat without knowing that was just its reflection on water-surface. The greedy dog threw the real bite to catch the phantasm. It became a loser having nothing left due to its greediness.

This fable is about greedy people who always think grass on other fields is greener. They can even exchange what they have in hands for a promise or delusion that never come true.Whatignorant ones receive are loss and regret in life for their mistakes. The brief and meaningful Dhamma talk is a special new year gift for the club. This is a precious lesson for us to have smart choice for bliss and ease in present and future on the path to liberation.
