Ullumbana Ceremony at Tinh Phap Pagoda, Ha Tinh Province.

On the August 14th, 2016 (on July 12th , Lunar Monkey year) Giai Lam - Tinh Phap pagoda at Thach Tan commune, Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh province officially organized the great Ullambana celebration.

To witness the ceremony, there was Junior Thich Hanh Nhan attending, as vice of the Board Director of Buddhism in Ha Tinh province, as well as Abbot monks, nuns from local pagodas, delegates of the government levels in local province, and local Buddhists attended the ceremony.

The ceremony was started by Junior Thich Tam Nguyen’s speech, Abbot of pagoda Giai Lam. In ceremony, besides of the ritual of pinning rose flowers, there was the emotional speech of Buddhist Hang Nga which left on the listenners’ mind a quiet thought about the pious heart of children toward their parents in the current age.

On the ceremony, Giai Lam pagoda gave twenty gilfs to poor families in the local area, hoping to contribute a little part to help them overcome difficulties in their life.

In the end of ceremony was the ritual of chanting Ullambana sutra.
