Vesak Ceremony 2016

At 9 o’clock, three ringing series of Prajna bell and drum welcomed all the honored Sangha walking to the rostrum offering incense the Buddha in ceremony.
In the pure and solemn atmosphere, the sound of chanting sutra vibrated echoing the mind of the mass of the most respectful honor which offers to the Buddha. According to this joyful, the Sangha and Buddhist released hundreds of balloon into the sky to pray for peace and love for people over the world. In that sacred moment, thousands of people clasped their hands to pray for peace and happiness to the Buddha‘s halo on the ten directions.
After the announcement of reason and introduction for ceremony, all spent a minute’s silence to pay homage to the Buddha – the great monk in history of mankind.
Continuing the rite, the teenagers from Buddhists’s families of Hoang Phap pagoda offered flowers sincerely respect to congratulate Vesak. On behalf of the Venerables, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Truc read the opening speech, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Huy explained meaning of the ceremony.
Harmony with this pleasure, Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh had some pieces of Dharma to all. He expressed his joy on the Buddha ‘s birthday as well as we are swimming to His miraculous teachings. Moreover, paying gratefulness to His merit, we, Buddhists, have to strive for our cultivation, from which we apply His words into our life. As a result, each Buddhist should practice from the Buddha’s spirit as carrying out well-working, donation and cultivation as well, etc, which belonging to his/her career for performing their good deeds.
At last, he hoped that each Buddhist should be aware and understood responsibility, how to create this day a large cultural ceremony of Vietnamese.
In program, kid singers as Nguyet Thu and Cong Quoc presented and performed the song “Greeting to Buddha’s Birthdayâ€
