Vesak ceremony at Tay Khanh pagoda, Thai Binh province

In the joyful atmosphere along millions of hearts welcoming the Vesak Day, on May 18th, 2019 (April 14th, Pig Year), at Tay Khanh pagoda (Cao Mai hamlet, Quang Hung village, KienXuong town, Thai Binh province), the Vesak ceremony was celebrated in Budha’s calendar.2563 – 2019 for Buddhists in and out of the district.

Before the ceremony, Bhadanta Thich Tam Kinh, The Abbot of  Tay Khanh pagoda, representatives for the venerables and Red Cross of Kien Xuong Town, did the charity activities as giving gifts to the poor families regarding Vesak season. 

The Vesak Day happened in the formal atmosphere. After reading the Vesak’s message from Director of Executive Buddhist Board, the Bhadanta talked about the meaning of the Vesak Day and the History of the Buddha. 

At the end of the ceremony was the ritual bathing the baby Buddha. The ceremony ended in the joy of all. 

At the end of the day, Tay Khanh pagoda cooperating with Board of Leaders in Buddhism of Kien Xuong town, pagodas in the nearby area and the attendants organized the parade of flower-lantern vehicles in greeting the Vesak Day.
