Visiting and paying homage to Late Most Ven Thich Hien Tu

With the guide to Most Master Thich Chan Tinh in the news of Most Thích Hiển Tu's death, in the afternoon of Feb. 14th, 2024 (Jan. 05th, year of the dragon) Junior Abbot Thich Tam Truong, monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda visited and offered incense to Late Most spirit, praying for his soul will come to the land of Buddha.

Most Ven Thich Hien Tu, Vice Dharma-Lord of Witnessing Council of VBS, former Standing Head of VBS Central Ritual Board, former Head of Director Board/ DB cum Head of Ritual Board of HCMC VBS, Witnessing of DB of HCMC VBS, Witnessing of DB of District 3 ‘s VBS, Witnessing of Tiantai Zen Buddhism, Abbot of Xa Loi Pagoda (District 3, HCMC), Abbot of Buu Son Pagoda (Ba Tri district, Ben Tre province) - People with great contributions in the campaign to unify Sangha organizations, are intermediary factor contributing to harmony and unity among Buddhist organizations in 1981.

Because of old age, he followed the impermanent rule and gave up the physical body at Xa Loi Pagoda, District 3, HCMC at 22h 30; lived 104 years old, and 83 years old of religion on Feb. 12th, 2024 (Jan. 03rd, Year of the Dragon).

The rite for putting the corpse into the coffin was at 14 p.m on February 13th, 2024 at Xa Loi Pagoda, District 3, HCMC.

The funeral will begin at 18:00 on February 13th, 2024. The rite of commemorating and moving the coffin to the Monk's stupa will be at 6h00 on February 15th, 2024 at Buu Son pagoda in Ben Tre province.
