Visiting funeral and paying homage to Late Most Thích Từ Thông

By the instructing to the HeadMaster in the news of Most Thích Tu Thong's death - Member of the council of Witness, Witness of the Director Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in HCMC, Principal of the Buddhist Intermediate in HCMC, the monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda visited and offered incense to the Late Most spirit, praying for his soul will come to the pure land of Buddha in the afternoon of Oct. 18th, 2025 (Aug. 27th, LC).

Ven Most Thích Từ Thông - Member of the Council of Witness, Witness of the Director Board/ DB of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha/ VBS in HCMC, Principal of the Buddhist College- Intermediate in HCMC, Former Member of the VBS's Executive Council; Former Deputy of the DB cum Head of the HCM Sangha Education Board; Abbot of Phu Chau Pagoda, Dong Thap; Abbot of Lieu Lieu Duong, Lam Dong.

 

Because of old age, he followed the impermanent rule and gave up the physical body at Buddhist Intermediate in HCMC at 12h 45 on Oct. 17th, 2025; lived 98 years old world, and 76 years old religion.

 

Placing his body into the coffin was at 08 a.m Oct. 18th, 2025 in the HCMC Buddhist Intermediate School in 1, Street No. 8, Phuoc Long Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The funeral will begin at 09:00 a.m on Oct. 18th, 2025.

 

The rite of commemoration will begin at 05:00 on Oct. 20th, 2025, then, moving the Most coffin to the Crematorium of Thanh Son pagoda at Long Binh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
