On July 6th, 2018 (May 23rd, Lunar Calendar), the fourth day of the trip, Venerable Thich Chan Tinh and the Hoang Phap’s monks visited Mahasi Monastery and Dai Phuoc Temple.
In the morning, Venerable Thich Chan Tinh and the followers visited Mahasi Sasana Yeiktha, located in Yangon city. All people were highly welcomed here by the Most Venerable Abbot and the Buddhists. The Most Venerable Abbot shared some important points in Vipassana practice. And to repay his kindness, Ven. Thich Chan Tinh sent his high gratitude to the most Venerable for the chance to visit and meet the monks in the monastery.
In the afternoon, all came to visit Dai Phuoc temple, the first Vietnamese Temple in Burma. In present, it is run by Venerable Thien Ngoc. This was formed with the help of the Seventh Master of Buddhist Scriptures. At here, people were full of joy when having a chance to see him, the Seventh Master, and listened to Dharma from him as well as paid homage to him.
The next, people visited the monastery run by the Seventh Master, where he is practicing and instructing people into practice. The lay Buddhist followers from Vietnam made an offering to the most Venerable Master. Then he took people around for seeing the monastery.
