In the news of new passing away of Most Thích Giac Tuong - Member of standing Council of Witness, Witness of the Mendicant lineage of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha - The Most followed the impermanent rule because of old age at 20:25 on May 04th, 2026 at Minh Dang Quang Monastery, Binh Trung ward, HCMC.

Visiting the funeral and paying homage to Chief Most Giac Tuong

By the instructing from the HeadMaster, Junior Abbot Thích Tâm Trường, the monks of Hoang Phap pagoda visited and offered incense to the Chief Most with wholehearted gratitude for his virtuous deeds, who lived a life of purity and followed the continuing the true Dharma of Shakyamuni.

Chief Most Giác Tường lived for 97 years and 68 years of religious age. As a leading figure and pillar of the Mendicant lineage, he achieved dignified virtue, devoted himself to propagating the Dharma; preserving and developing the Mendicant tradition, and focused on educating Monk talents to contribute to the development of the Sangha and uphold the precepts.

The death announcement as following:

- Placing his body into the coffin was at 14:30 p.m. of May 05th, 2026. The visit will begin at 17:00 p.m.

- The rite of commemoration will begin at 07:00 a.m on May 08th, 2026, then, moving the Most coffin to Phước Lạc Viên Crematorium (Binh Duong old province).
