Welcome the delegation of Nhat Phap Pagoda & Three-Jewel refuge ceremony at Dang Phap Pagoda, Binh Phuoc

On the pilgrimage to Dak Nong, Junior Thich Tam Trong - Abbot of Nhat Phap Pagoda, Dong Nai and Buddhists visited Dang Phap Pagoda on April 8th, 2023. After that, the mass had the session to recite the Buddha names at the temple.

On behalf of the delegation, Junior Thich Tam Trong donated money, items and wished good health to the monks and Buddhists of Dang Phap pagoda; on behalf of the monks, Thich Tam Quang, the abbot of Dang Phap pagoda received the gifts and dedicated the merit to the delegation. This occasion, the temple Abbot expressed his gratitude to the Most Master, monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda, Junior Abbot of Nhat Phap Pagoda, and Buddhists who have cared about, encouraged cultivation and protection in Buddhist affairs.

On the morning of April 9th, 2023, Dang Phap Pagoda in Binh Phuoc Province, (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda’s sect), solemnly held a ceremony to transmit Three Refuge, Five Precepts to 60 precept receivers to take the refuge in Three Jewel.

The followers gathered in the main hall to learn about the demeanor in the actions of Buddhists when they come to the temple, such as clasping hands, greetings, prostrations in the morning... This is very necessary and important manners for new Buddhists. Next, Junior Thich Tam Quang thoroughly explained its purpose and meaning, and available rules for Buddhists.

On behalf of the monks, a precept transmitting ceremony officially took place by the witness of venerable monks. Drifting in six realms and confused ignorance, no one is immune from mistakes and sins. Therefore, each person needs to acknowledge the mistake and vow not to repeat it. The Abbot held a rite for disciples to repent, and help purify three karmas before the sacred moments to become a Buddhist; On behalf of the monks present, Junior Thich Tam Quang transmitted Three Refuges-Five Precepts to all disciples.

The ceremony took place in solemnity, purity and complete accomplishment in the joy of participants. Before leaving, each person received a gift of Dharma as: a book of Three Refuges- Five precepts and a Certificate of Refuge in the Three Jewels.
