Welcoming New Year at Tay Khanh Pagoda - Thai Binh Province.


Enjoying in the air of all Vietnamese in Vietnam and people abroad to welcome New Year Eva, Each Buddhist also enjoys the warmness atmosphere with whole of monks and Buddhists who are gathering in the sanctuary of Tay Khanh pogoda to welcome the New Year Eve.

On the evening of Feb 7th, 2016 (Dec 29th of Goat Year), Reverend (Junior Venerable) Thich Tam Kinh, abbot of Tay Khanh pogoda, Cao Mai village, Quang Hung commune, Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province organized to welcome Monkey's New Year Eva for local villagers. 

The Reverend abbot  with monks of the pagoda came to sanctuary to proceed ceromony course at the beginning of the year, praying for country in peace, people get tranquility in blessing of Triratna.

 After the solemnity of burning incense for Buddha in the begining of New Year, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Kinh had New Year's greetings to Buddhists. With abbot's greetings which are simple and close, easy to understand for everyone to practice and hope that next year people will practice also, living together with Buddha's teachings.  

 

End of the talking session, the Reverend presented for Buddhists a poem from his calligraphy of “Buddha’s Heart”  on the occasion of the first day of Monkey New Year:

A truthful heart vows into Tathagata’s chapel

 

After Tet greetings, monks gave to Buddha some lucky money of the begining days in New Year and a DVD "A Dharma Trip."
