Welcoming The lunar New Year of Rooster at Tay khanh Pagoda in Thai Binh Province

At the moment of New Year’s Eve when the old year passes and the New Year is coming, the Sangha came to the main lecture to perform incense offering at the Buddha alter and prayed for world peace and happiness for all people.
On the occasion of the beginning of spring, the Venerable wished all the Buddhists and their families a New Year of peace, happiness and diligence in dharma practice. Then, he gave a dharma talk in which he emphasized that the old year had passed and the New Year was coming, we needed to refresh ourselves. Also, he added,last year, if those who had defilement such as false speeches, wrong actions, dishonest thoughts, etc. which caused suffering for themselves and others, they should get rid of them right away this year and later. In addition, head vised that the Buddhists who goes to pagoda regularly, chant sutra, listen to dharma, etc. need to apply the Buddha’s teachings in life, as well as always keep the five precepts, in order to improve ourselves to become good people, which benefits ourselves, family and society.
By his simple and sincere words, all the mass were joyful and smiled peacefully during his lecture. At the end of the talk, he offered two verses to the Buddhists:
Who gets pure mind living in life,
Without minding others’ business, nature mind is peaceful!
Finally, at the early moment of New Year, in delight, all received some lucky money and dharma gifts of dharma lecture DVDs offered by Venerable.
