Welcoming the New Year's Eve 2025 at Dong Cao Pagoda - Thanh Hoa

Many good men and believing women returned to Dong Cao Pagoda in Nga Yen, Nga Son, Thanh Hoa Province (belonging to the Sect of Hoang Phap Pagoda) to welcome the New Year's Eve.

Resounding out the bell and drum Prajna, the mass solemnly welcomed Junior Abbot Thich Tam Hung of Dong Cao Pagoda to the lecture hall to celebrate the New Year's Eve ceremony at the time from the old year to the new year. The abbot struck the bell to mark a peaceful and happy new year; the attendees enjoyed the brilliant firework display to welcome the Lunar New Year 2025.

 

The monk offered incense to Buddha, together with the mass bowed to the Three Jewels, chanted the  Noble Eightfold Path sutra, recited the Buddha's name, and worshipped Four Graces, expressing the gratitude to the origin at the beginning of spring.

 

On behalf of the Buddhists with pure faith, Buddhist Trinh Mai Thi (Lien Thi) offered a longevity greeting to the Abbot. In response, he gave a Dharma talk and wished the Buddhists a peaceful, happy new year, with everything going as planned, always living in the light of the Buddha's wisdom.

 

Last, the Monks gave lucky pockets and Dharma gifts to everyone.
