Year-end practice, a closing ceremony, giving gifts in the Tet of the Horse at Dong Cao pagoda (Thanh Hóa)

Buddhists everywhere returned to Dong Cao Pagoda in Thanh Hoa province (belonging to the Hoang Phap’s sect) to attend Year-End Practice, a Dharma Thanking Rite, and give gifts to local residents on Feb. 08th, 2026.

First, the Junior Abbot led the mass meditation walk to reflect calm  their cultivation journey over the past year; Then, the mass was instructed to chant a six-sense repentant ritual, as well as review Five precepts, and recite Buddha's name, release creatures, and gave100 Tet gift portions to the villagers participating in the retreat.

 

The ashram officially held the closing ceremony with many significant programs by the witness Junior Thich Tam Hung in a pure and dignified atmosphere at 9: 30 a.m.

 

Next, all the participants looked back on the affairs of the past year, the advantages, shortcomings not solved; as well as presenting gifts and Certificates of gratitude to the Buddhists who have wholeheartedly served the Dharma.

 

At the end were the Abbot's dharma words. He praised the spirit of service of Buddhists who have always diligently practiced and served so that the temple activities can be carried out smoothly, which bring Buddhism closer to life, help the country prosper, and ensure the eternal well-being of the Dharma.
