Year-end repentant Assembly at Linh An Temple in Taiwan

Completing a year of meaningful Buddhist affairs abroad is the repentance Ceremony at Linh An Pagoda - Taipei in the Year of the Cat. We sincerely paid our gratitude to all the monks and nuns, Buddhists everywhere, and Donors who have supported the ashram from materially to spiritually. No matter how small or silent the joyous support from afar by the mass, or the presence of contributions is greatly appreciated and respected by us which is happiness and peace that the mass reserved for the ashram.

At this repentance, Buddhists listened to a dharma talk named the meaning of kowtow - reflection repentance preached by the monk, clearly understood the nature and benefits of body-mind repentance; tried to practice our self-contemplation; recognize our mistakes, vow not to repeat which forwards goodness and the noble. Then, the mass repented six-sense mistakes and bowed to famous names of the Buddhas.

The mass helped prepare hot pot and red bean sweet soup for the all at noon; At the same time, we were pleased to welcome the delegation of the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei (駐台北越南經濟文化辦事處) led by Mr. Vu Tien Dung, Head of the Office, who led the delegation to visit to Linh An temple.

We would like to transfer a small portion of the charity Fund of this retreat to Junior Thich Tam Bien who maintains good relationships in the country of Myanmar where he is studying.

As the Year of the Cat gradually ends, we respectfully wish everyone peace, pray for World peace, living beings’ happiness; war-disease are eliminated, all homes are prosperous and happy.
