Year-end Retreat of Linh An pagoda – Repentant Ceremony

On Jan. 16th, 2022, Linh Yin Temple (Taipei, Taiwan) held a year-end penitential day with the participation of monks, Buddhists, and many young people who are international students in Taiwan also returned to attend.

Next, the mass gathered in the main hall to begin the Repentance Rite in the morning.

At 13:30, the monk had a Dharma talk with Buddhists about its karma and effects. He also shared a few things that look back at himself so as not to be bound by sorrows and suffering. We should strive to sow goodness, prevent bad habits, avoid creating bad karma, protect our mind and body's well-being so that we can reap good results in the future ...

After the Dharma talk, the monks instructed the repentance ritual, bowed to the names of the Buddhas, sincerely repented of their own sins from many lifetimes to the present.

At the end of the retreat, all practitioners received gifts from monks and took pictures together to remember peaceful and beautiful moments at the Vietnamese temple in a foreign land.
