Youth Retreat “The words I would like to say ...” at Giai Lam Pagoda – Ha Tinh

More than 150 children came to Giai Lam Pagoda to attend the retreat "The words I would like to say ..." on December 8, 2024.

The children gathered in the lecture hall to participate in activities and practice etiquette under the guidance of Junior Thich Tam Man after registering in the morning.

 

Next, Junior Thich Tam Luc - Head of the Buddhist Guidance Board of Giai Lam Pagoda, together with psychologist Nguyen Thi Le Thuy, had a talk on the topic "Talking with parents".

 

The monks and psychologists gave methods to help children be aware of how to study without feeling bored, study diligently, know how to sympathize, obey their parents, how to be grateful - repay kindness, and take care of their parents when they are old and weak in the future.

 

The monks guided kids to read the article "Remembering Gratitude" compiled by Most Thich Chan Tinh in the afternoon, reminding them to remember the merits of their parents, teachers, Triple Gem, the country and those around; vowing to hard become pious children and good pupils when return home.

 

Then, the self-defense skill program with the sharing of Coach Nguyen Huu Hung was shown to the children. By the skills and experiences he talked, little learners gained more knowledge about self-defense skills, helping to protect themselves in times of danger in life.

 

The cultivation day ended with the joy of the young people.

 

Before leaving the temple, the monks gave gifts of candy and comics named Take gold, quit thorns composed by Most Thich Chan Tinh to learners.
