Youth towards Buddhism Retreat at Giai Lam pagoda, Ha Tinh

On March 31st, 2024 Giai Lam pagoda in Ha Tinh province (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda’s sect) held a Teenager Retreat for many kids from 06 - 13 years old with the topic: Youth towards Buddhism, many little learners returned to attend.

After gathering at the temple yard in the morning, monks guided kids in the activities: how to meditate, and Buddhist’ demeanor, etc when coming to the temple. Next, young attendees listened to a dharma talk named Children are angels of peace shared by Junior Thich Tam Luc, Head of the Organizers.

The Dharma talk aims to help children realize the root causes of family violence, which indirectly leads to school violence. By this, he provided more knowledge for children to prevent and have appropriate behavior whenever we fall into unexpected situations.

 At the invitation of the Organizers, the session taught children self-defense techniques when someone intentionally injures them by two Coaches Khanh and Nghi of the Karate-Do Club.

Continuing the practice in the afternoon at the main hall, little learners read the Gratitude poem, composed by Most Thich Chan Tinh.

In order to build a loving life of all things for the children, the monks organized a release rite, creating conditions for them to release fish back into the natural environment.

All of them learned to sing the song "I Return to the Temple" and had group fun activities at the end of the day.

Before leaving the temple, the monks gave gifts of candy and comics to learners.

The cultivation day ended with the joy of the young people.
